Director of Products
Location: San Jose
Build, release, improve multi-faceted distributed products encompassing end-to-end DevOps capabilities on cloud/premises and in hybrid cloud for teams pursuing modem data applications; use UX/UE/Unix/Linux/Windows; perform product management of platform/SaaS/DBaaS projects; use kubernetes and storage technologies/protocols; identify trends and systems in DevOps/Kubernetes market; perform platform/SaaS/DBaaS product life cycle management; create positioning/messaging documents; define personas/relevant messages, create go-to-market strategy (creating sales plays, delivering relevant sales tools, and marketing content); assist sales to build pipeline; work on content creation (creating whitepapers, blogs, benchmarks, external articles, and webinars to promote products); own/manage product roadmap; prioritize all of product team’s work; assist team’s focus on delivering valuable products/features; work with design team to create best product user experience; act as key point of contact for product information for internal/external stakeholders; anticipate changes in priority/product strategy; refine goals based on team/client feedback and industry/market trends; examine real-world deployment/usage scenarios from customers for use to design/develop product features to increase products’ value; ensure that quality/security of products developed meet/exceed industry standards; develop product positioning/messaging that differentiates company’s products in market; perform sales enablement; communicate value proposition of products to sales team; develop sales tools to support selling process of products; create product content (sales enablement documentation, case studies, product videos, website copy, blog posts, and Quora/forum responses) to articulate products’ benefits; give presentations internally/externally to promote story of products; measure/optimize buyer’s journey as it relates to product feature adoption/usage; and direct team of designers, software engineers, quality assurance engineers, business analysts, and technical writers in continuous delivery and improvements; represent products and company at tradeshows and conferences.
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Business Administration plus 2 years experience. Experience to include creating positioning/messaging documents, defining personas/relevant messages, and creating go-to-market strategy (creating sales plays, delivering relevant sales tools, and marketing content); assisting inside sales to build pipeline; and content creation (creating whitepapers, blogs, benchmarks, external articles, and webinars to promote products).
