Robin Systems Joins the Hortonworks Technology Partner Program and Achieves HDP Certification

SAN JOSE, Calif., June 28, 2016 — Robin Systems, a Silicon Valley container-based virtualization platform software company, today announced it has joined the Hortonworks ISV/IHV Partner Program and has successfully achieved Hortonworks’ Certification for Robin Containerization Platform. This enables users of Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP™) to benefit from Robin’s container-based compute and storage platform to maximize hardware utilization, improve application performance, and dramatically simplify applications lifecycle management.

By achieving this certification, Robin now provides the most efficient operating platform for Hadoop-based applications and HDP, the industry’s only 100 percent open source platform built on Apache Hadoop. To certify partner technologies, Hortonworks reviews each product for architectural best practices, validates it against a comprehensive suite of integration test cases and performs benchmarks for scale under varied workloads, while comprehensively documenting every step in the process.

Robin is heralding a new era in data center evolution with industry’s first Application-Defined Data Center software.
