Previously General Manager of OpenStack at Red Hat, Radhesh Brings Over Two Decades of Experience Driving Market Success for World-Class Enterprise Software Products to the Executive Team
SAN JOSE, Calif. – October 3, 2018 – Robin Systems, the provider of industry-leading Hyper-converged Kubernetes platform, announced that Radhesh Menon has joined the company as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to drive global market success.
Radhesh joins Robin from Red Hat, where he built their OpenStack business from the ground-up, driving adoption from 0 to over 500 customers and establishing Red Hat OpenStack Platform as the market leader. Prior to that, Radhesh served at Microsoft, where he helped drive market success for a number of enterprise products including Azure, HyperV/System Center, Windows Server, and Exchange Server. He also formed and led the worldwide marketing team for the $250 million HP-Microsoft Infrastructure-to-Applications initiative.
Radhesh will be applying his vision, passion, and experience to drive market success for Robin as it scales its Hyper-converged Kubernetes Platform business.
Robin showcased Hyper-converged Kubernetes Platform at the recent VMworld. As the industry’s first hyper-converged Kubernetes implementation, this solution brings a self-service App-store experience and increased efficiency to big data, databases, and AI/ML workloads. Robin also recently secured $17 million Series B funding backed by USAA Ventures, Hasso Plattner Ventures, Clear Ventures, and DN Capital. The appointment of Radhesh underscores Robin’s expansion into the next stage of growth and helps round out the executive team.
As Robin’s CMO, Radhesh will be focused on driving worldwide market success for the company’s Hyper-converged Kubernetes Platform by enabling customers to realize agility and efficiencies across private and public cloud footprints for Big Data, Database and AI/ML applications.
“We are very pleased to welcome Radhesh to the Robin family,” said Premal Buch, CEO for Robin Systems. “As we continue to disrupt the way companies deploy and manage Big Data, Database, and AI/ML applications, the addition of Radhesh as Robin’s CMO and newest member of our leadership team is the next natural step. His background and expertise will help take Robin to the next stage in our growth and we are excited to have him on board.”
“I am excited to join Robin to help organizations across the globe realize the benefits of an industry-first, production-ready solution that extends the power of Kubernetes to bring 1-Click simplicity to deploying and managing data-intensive applications,” said Radhesh Menon, CMO for Robin Systems. “Robin’s Hyperconverged Kubernetes platform for Big Data, database, and AI/ML applications is a game changer that opens up new possibilities for organizations to accelerate their hybrid/multi-cloud journey.”
Robin Systems is the first hyper-converged Kubernetes solution for big data, databases and AI/ML. Robin is the only solution that embeds application workflows natively into the storage, network, and cloud infrastructure stack. As a result, every application benefits from a simple managed service-like experience, along with automated deployment and lifecycle management. Traditional hypervisor-based virtualization typically suffers from poor performance and complex and time-consuming application lifecycle management. With Robin, enterprises can bring their applications online much faster, at lower cost, and in any location (on-premise, or in the cloud). With a team that includes industry veterans from leading enterprise technology companies such as NetApp, Oracle, and Veritas, Robin Systems seeks to disrupt the $20 billion-plus virtualization market with its hyper-converged Kubernetes platform. The San Jose California-based company is backed by leading investors such as Clear Ventures, DN Capital, USAA, Hasso Plattner Ventures, and CloudScale Capital Partners.
